What We Believe
THE BIBLE
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproofing, for correction, and for training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16) For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul (Hebrews 4:12).
SALVATION
“For by grace you have been saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8).” “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).”
REPENTANCE
“But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:18-20).”
THE CHURCH
The church is not a building but the body of believers, the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:23). We are called to be one body in Spirit and truth mirroring the image of Christ, meeting regularly to mature in spiritual growth and union with Christ (John 17:11, Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:4 Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:44)
THE TRINITY
There is one God, existing forever in three-persons: Father, Son, Spirit (Genesis 1:26, 1 John 5:7, Luke 1:35)
VIRGIN BIRTH
Jesus was conceived by God the Father in Mary’s womb through the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:27, 35)
HEAVEN
Heaven is the dwelling place for all believers for all eternity. (Revelation 21:4, John 14:2,3, 2 Corinthians 5:1, Hebrews 11:16)
THE SECOND COMING
So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who eagerly waiting him. (Hebrews 9:28, Revelation 1:7)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is the son of God who lived a sinless life being fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a blameless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven where now He sits at the right hand of the Father awaiting His return where sin will be defeated and will reign in full glory and power. (Philippians 2:8, John 1:14, Isaiah 53:12, Ephesians 4:9)
RESURRECTION
Jesus was risen from the dead three days after his death on the cross. More so, we all will be resurrected as well. Those who believe resurrected to eternal life, those who do not believe resurrection of eternal damnation. (Matthew 28:6, John 11:25, 1 Thessalonians 4:14, John 6:40, Romans 6:5, Acts 24:15).
HELL
Another dwelling place for those who do not believe to be tormented for eternity. (Matthew 25:41, Revelation 14:10-11, 20:15, Luke 12:5)
